Since 1967, Madeira has dedicated to create high quality furniture and to provide an exceptional service.  Madeira trusts its quality of its furniture offering these specific guarantees, so we recommend you to read them carefully because the breach of these terms here mentioned can invalid your guarantees.

 

§         Madeira offers these guarantees to the original buyer of the furniture acquire in an authorized distributor, any service or repaired done to the furniture during the length of the guarantee must be done through the distributor or store where you bought the product.

§         Madeira will not be held responsible for any kind of discount or expense, if there is not a previous authorization from Madeira to repair or accept a returned product.

§         The guarantee starts from the moment the product is invoiced to the final consumer.  You are going to need to have your invoice or receipt of purchase to validate your guarantee.

§         This guarantee applies only to normal use or residential use of the furniture.  It’s not valid for damage cause by negligence, wrong use (nonfulfilment of the Care and Usage section), accidents or commercial usage.

§         Due to the use of natural inputs and the hand made work of the Madeira’s furniture, some pieces may have small variations from other pieces.  Due to these, the guarantee does not cover theses small variations or difference between the display furniture in our show rooms or stores and digital or print images of our furniture. 

§         Any modification of the furniture by the seller or the client not authorized by writing by Madeira invalidates the guarantee.

§         Madeira’s guarantee includes: the repair or replacement of the defective part, replacement of a product or reimbursements to the client.  Madeira has the right to decide what’s the right action depending the case.  If Madeira decides to replace a product that they don’t sell anymore, they will replace it for a similar product.

§         Shipping and handling cost by authorized distributors are absorbed by Madeira to the workshop for repairs, between the first six moths of guarantee.  When the six moths have pass, the client is responsible for all the cost of shipping and handling the furniture to the Madeira’s workshop.  These only apply inside the Republic of Guatemala.

CARE AND USAGE:

 

Our final product is design to enhance the natural beauty of the wood and for its own protection.  Nevertheless, your Madeira’s furniture is a natural wood product and even with a casual live stile, it going to require some cares and precautions to extended its beauty and comfort.  We recommend following these simple precautions for the care of your furniture:

§         Make sure you assemble your furniture in your house according to instruction, because if is assemble wrongly this may cause damage to the furniture itself.

§         Avoid direct light.

§         Clean your furniture frequently.  For this use a wet cloth free of threads to avoid scratches.  Be careful not to leave the surface of the furniture damp.

§         Occasionally, polish them with a spray agent to polish furniture.  Always polish your furniture in direction of the woods streak.  Avoid polishing your furniture to often, we recommend polishing your furniture no more than 3 times a year.  If your furniture has a dull finish, do not polish, this will cause your dull finish to shine.

§         Do not use acetone based, caustic cleaning agents or abrasive agents to clean your furniture.

§         Do not expose to high temperatures.  Avoid exposing them to fireplace, damp places, heaters, or direct lamp light.

§         Allow the wood to breathe; periodically rotate the decorations you have over your furniture.

§         If your furniture has an incorporated light, never leave it on for long periods of time or with the door closed.

§         Do not expose your furniture in a place with moths. We recommend checking your actual furniture for moths before assembling your Madeira’s furniture.

§         We recommend periodically vacuuming the seats of your furniture and using a soft brush to eliminate the remaining dust in difficult spots.

§         In case of liquid spills, dry immediately with a dry cloth

§         Do not use detergents or chlorine.

 

Even if you are real careful with your furniture, accidents always happen.  Some stains can be removed easily, but others can penetrate the wood in matter of seconds.  For most stains, a fast reaction can help reduce the damage to the wood.  So here is a fist aid guide for spills and stains:

§         Food Stains: Sauce, margarine, mayonnaise, and other juices can penetrate smoothly into the wood.  Clean the stain immediately and polish the wood with a soft and clean cloth.

§          Paint: Water based paint most be clean immediately with a damp cloth.

o        For oil based paint, let it dry and after it’s dry, remove it smoothly with a spatula or a credit card.

§         Glue or Wax: First, harden the wax with an ice wrapped in plastic; second, remove smoothly the wax with a spatula or a credit card. Third, remove any residue with a furniture cleanser or spray and let it dry.  Last, polish the surface.

§         Nails Polish or Acetone: These are dangerous solvents.  In case of a spill, do not rub or clean it, blow the surface and let the liquid dry.

§         Alcohol: Lots of products contain alcohol and this can dissolve the finishes in your furniture.   In case of a spill, do not rub or clean it, blow the surface and let the liquid dry.
